The most typical reasons for certificate re-issuance are you:
- lost your private key and want to re-key your certificate;
- moved your site to another hosting providor; and
- want to change the organisation name listed in the certificate.
Please note, for single domain certificates, such as the rapidSSL certificate, the domain name can’t be changed. The administrative email address cannot be changed either.
All of the certificates offered by Zen Hosting are GeoTrust products. GeoTrust has set the following rules on the subject of reissues:
- The certificate may be reissued three times during the first three days of issuance;
- The certificate may be reissued three times after three days but within the first 30 days of issuance; and
- After 30 days, the total number of reissues is capped at six.
