a. How to change PHP version
Once you’ve logged into cPanel, click Select PHP Version.
You’ll be redirected to the PHP Selector | PHP Extensions page, where you can enable an extension and set the current version of PHP.
By clicking the Set As Current button, you can change the PHP version that the website is using.
Choose from PHP 7.4 or lower ie 7.3, 7.2, 7.1 etc.
Or, you can enable an extension.
b. How to change variables such as memory_limit, post_max_size etc
Once you’ve logged into cPanel, click Select PHP Version.
On the next screen, click Extensions in the header.
Click the grey value shown next to the PHP configuration item you want to alter such as “post_max_size”, then type in the new value and click Save.
